Comparisons are odious…

Comparisons are odious, as is competition for our own space in the world.

With over 2 billion humans using social media – competition is fierce.

Ah space… we are all inhabiting space.

Yet our space – the ether – the space between you and me – is being hacked by those in social media land, like Facebook.

Competition and comparison impedes mind, body and spiritual growth.

How is this so?

Competition is not clean energy, it is not from a heart-filled space. It is not pure. Competition leads us away from connection, love and closeness.

Competition for space and recognition, in this social media savvy and constant 24-7 world, is where the world is at currently.

Does a business have to have more ‘likes’ on Instagram or Facebook, or more followers on YouTube for them to be a better company?

I’m finding this ‘needing more likes’ to be rather shallow and only popularity driven.
Just because somebody has more likes on social media, does that make them better?

Definitely not.

Putting yourself out on social media takes time and energy. This is your internal energy that takes away from your quality work.

Currently, popularity on social media is the key.

I liken this to the ‘popular crowd’ at school or high school.

If someone is in the popular crowd, it doesn’t necessarily make that person the best to go to – in terms of service.

The popular crowd has a way of chewing up and spitting out people and running ‘cliques’ that are exclusive, not inclusive.

Your wellness, mental health and your life is worth more than chasing the popular person.

Consider who you are choosing as a service provider.

If you’re seeking any kind of business – we mustn’t be fooled by numbers of likes or followers on social media.

100,000 followers might not make for a very personalised service.
