Gentle coach: Being of service

March 27, 2019

Over the past 15 years I have worked in the field, I have assisted thousands of people to live happier, healthier lives.

Initially, I worked with people with disabilities, with refugees and with victims of crime.

After working in the field in agencies and organisations, I had children of my own, I have been working in private practice.

In the Illawarra, I have been in private practice for nearly 11 years.

I have helped many couples save their marriages, assisted people seeking personal, individual counselling have more productive lives. You don’t have to seek counselling only when you are feeling terrible.

You may just have questions about what you wish to do with your life.

My services are growing all the time – and are adjusting to meet the growing needs of our complex lives.

Firstly, I trained in counselling and psychotherapy. This is not psychology. Psychologists currently work within Medicare and look at things from the medical and mental health model.

I look at you from a ‘prevention is better than cure’ perspective. Let’s look at the life patterns you have developed, the issues that are regularly coming up for you and see if we can work out what’s going on.

I have trained in how to help people help themselves, through active listening, looking at your current circumstances, having understanding of you and empathising with your situation.

As well, I have trained in a variety of coaching methods.

Consider me the gentle counsellor and coach.

Not all coaching has to be ‘raa raa’. It doesn’t have to be like you’re hit with a mack truck when you’re not ready for it. I can work with you where you’re at.

This year coming up, I’ll be running more training sessions for counsellors and psychotherapists and running a meditation, mindfulness and movement retreat at Govinda Valley.

I consider myself of service to you and the community.

Take the chance to book in for a free 15 minute phone consultation or web-based conferencing session (held on Zoom and is like Skype).

If you’d like to do that, you can click on the book now button or call me on 0411 312 750 to have a no obligation free chat about your circumstances.
